Cover reveal: @josie_ho_chiu is the mercurial and enterprising spirit behind indy production 852 Films and lead singer for five-piece Hong Kong rock band “JOSIE AND THE UNI BOYS”. A proud Hong Konger, the path has been long, and not always pleasant, but Ho has a steadfast positivity and demeanour that values “fun” as a force to be reckoned with – rather than a simple distraction from life it’s an active response to it. Some would say Ho attracts such luck, but it’s taken hard work, a fair share of set-backs and the breaking out of a socially-ascribed path. Ho is also set to play a lead role in one of her two upcoming feature projects with with director Luc Besson, the first of which starts filming in 2021, and will also have a hand in the film’s score. Given this, Ho would be likely to describe her path as self-determined with smatterings of luck, but it honestly wouldn’t be a stretch to understand that luck, and eye for opportunity, as something that she’s been cultivating alongside her music and acting legacies too.
